Born in the Paris region, Mathilde Thiennot feeds her practice from her professional career in arts and crafts (staff, molding) but also in show sets.
Her artistic work finds its source in raw and mineral materials in urban and natural environments.
It is through conservation processes, a work of memory, capturing memories, that she denounces the disappearance of nature in favor of industry.
In reaction, she designs and shapes sculptures, moldings, agglomerations, and transformations to illustrate a world in transition.
Supported by graphic and photographic work, she illustrates this transformation from the natural state to the state of concrete through changing scales, engravings and prints, diluted paint, and crumpled composition.
